Established in July 2023 upon approval, Dongguan Key Laboratory of Micro-Nano Optical Field Manipulation and Sensing is based at GBU and collaboratively developed with Shenzhen University. The Laboratory focuses primarily on the research on optical information technology at the micro and nano scale.
The Laboratory carries out research activities at two levels: fundamental scientific theories and key technological applications. The aims are to reveal the mechanisms of optical field manipulation at the micro scale, the topological structures of optical fields, and the interaction mechanisms between ultrafast optical fields and matter. Additionally, the research extends to applying optical field manipulation in areas such as optically controlled digital microfluidics, maskless lithography, structured optical field imaging, and structured photothermal metamaterials, thereby advancing technological services for industrial development. The establishment of the Laboratory aligns with Dongguan’s urgent needs for industrial upgrading and sustainable development, playing a significant role in boosting industry-university-research integration. Based on this, the Laboratory is pursuing the following research directions and contents:
